At the end of last year, Matt and I got to meet C.S. Lewis’ stepson, Douglas Gresham. In today’s episode, Matt interviews Douglas and asks him about his early life in the United States, his time living at The Kilns, as well as his life following his stepfather’s death.

Today I spoke to John DeRosa, host of the Classical Theism podcast and author of One Less God Than You: How to Answer the Slogans, Clichès, and Fallacies That Atheists Use to Challenge Your Faith:
Show Notes
• Today Matt interviewed Douglas Gresham, the son of Joy Gresham and the stepson of C.S. Lewis. Douglas Gresham is the author of Lenten Lands, where he speaks about his life up until a few years after the death of C.S. Lewis:
Douglas is an American / British stage and voice over actor, biographer, film producer and executive record producer. He’s written an autobiography called Lenten Lands which chronicles his early life. He’s also written a book titled Jack’s Life about his stepfather C.S. lewis. Further, he is one of two sons of Joy Davidman, who we have learned a lot about from Patti Callahan and discussed on many different occasions on the podcast.
Biographical Information
• The drink-of-the-week was Macallan 12.
• The quote-of-the-week was from Douglas’ book, Lenten Lands:
“I am beginning to realise that every point in one’s life at which one loses everything is far more a beginning than an end, for one has lost merely the past, and one has yet to gain the future, and eternity itself”
Douglas Gresham, Lenten Lands
• Matt began by asking Douglas about his childhood…
• Matt then asked about his years with Lewis and meeting his wife:
• Matt then asked about the years following Lewis’ death.
Loved all three, but Merry’s was the best… :o)
