Today I was joined by guest co-host, Trent Horn, to discuss the first of Screwtape’s letters where the senior demon discusses reason and rhetoric.
Today I interview a man who is well-known in the C.S. Lewis community, William O’Flaherty. William runs EssentialCSLewis.com and is the host of the “All About Jack” podcast. He is also the author of “The Misquotable CS Lewis” and the book which we will be discussing today, his guide to “The Screwtape Letters” called “C.S. Lewis Goes To Hell”.

Since we’re beginning a new season and a new book, we thought it would be wise to introduce new listeners to the life of C.S. Lewis. To celebrate “Hobbit Day”, today we begin Season 4 of “Pints With Jack”! This season we’ll be reading through C.S. Lewis’ “The Screwtape Letters”. In this episode we introduce our new co-host and talk about what to expect this season…

At the end of last year, Matt and I got to meet C.S. Lewis’ stepson, Douglas Gresham. In today’s episode, Matt interviews Douglas and asks him about his early life in the United States, his time living at The Kilns, as well as his life following his stepfather’s death.
The hosts of The Tolkien Road invited me onto their show to talk about Mythopoeia, a poem which Tolkien wrote for Lewis following their late-night conversation which ultimately led to Lewis’ conversion. Today’s episode has the original episode, but also includes some introductory comments and recitation of the poem itself.
